Hexa Color Sort

Hexa Color Sort
Fullscreen

Hexa Color Sort is a clean, satisfying take on the color-sorting puzzle genre, drag hexagon-shaped tiles around a board, stack same-colored ones together, and watch matched stacks merge and clear space. It’s relaxing on the surface, calm sounds, bright colors, no timer pressure in most versions of this format, but the actual sorting asks for real spatial planning as boards fill up.

The challenge scales through board complexity rather than speed: more colors, tighter stacking limits, and trickier starting arrangements as you progress. Since only same-colored tiles can stack, a board can quietly lock itself into an unsolvable state if you stack carelessly early on, planning two or three moves ahead matters more than it looks like it should for something this visually calm.

It’s built for exactly the kind of low-pressure puzzle session where the goal is a clear mind as much as a cleared board, satisfying merge animations and a genre that rewards patience over speed.

How to play Hexa Color Sort

Tap or drag a hexagon tile to move it onto another stack. Only tiles of the same color can be placed on top of each other. When a stack is complete, it clears, opening space on the board. Plan your moves to avoid locking colors into unsolvable positions, and clear every stack to complete the level.

Controls

  • Mouse click / drag or tap Move hexagon tiles between stacks

Tips

  • Plan two or three moves ahead rather than placing tiles reactively; boards can lock into unsolvable states if you stack carelessly
  • Clear stacks that are close to complete before starting new ones, since an unfinished stack takes up space you may need later
  • Use any undo or hint options early in a level rather than saving them for a crisis you could have avoided
  • A calm, unhurried approach genuinely performs better here than fast clicking, since there's no timer rewarding speed
