If you’ve played slither.io, you know the skeleton of Worm Hunt: you’re a worm in an arena full of other worms, you eat to grow, and if your head touches anyone else’s body, you pop into a trail of food for everyone nearby. What Worm Hunt adds on top is what keeps it around on this site.
Two modes, first of all a normal endless arena, and a timed mode where the play area keeps shrinking, which forces everyone into the same crowded space and turns the last minute into pure panic. Then there’s the progression: coins and gems from matches unlock skins, and each worm has its own skill tree that carries permanent upgrades between games. Boosters and shields spawn in the arena mid-match too, which the original slither never had.
One mechanic worth knowing before your first game: your worm can cross through its own body. Curling into yourself is a legitimate defensive move, not a mistake.

How to play Worm Hunt – Snake game iO zone
Your worm follows the mouse cursor and moves constantly. Eat food to grow longer, and trap other worms so they crash into your body — when they pop, eat what they drop before someone else does. Hold the left mouse button to boost, but it burns your length as fuel.

It simulates a shared arena where you're competing against other worms at the same time, not a solo game with occasional AI.
What's the difference between the two modes?
Time Mode is a short race against the clock to rack up as much mass as possible before it ends. Endless Mode has no timer — you play until you get trapped, and the goal is simply lasting as long as you can while growing as big as possible.
Can I change how my worm looks?
Yes. Skins unlock through collected gold and daily tasks, so your worm's appearance is something you build toward rather than something fixed from the start.
