Drunken Boxing 2 is a 3D ragdoll fighting game built around a joke that turns out to have real mechanics underneath it. Your boxer is completely hammered, the physics are wobbly and unpredictable, and landing a clean punch feels genuinely satisfying because of how little control you actually have.
The Energy Bar is what stops it being a button-masher. Every punch drains it, and once it hits zero you’re stuck waiting to recover while your opponent keeps swinging. So the fight becomes a rhythm question: stay aggressive enough to score, but hold back enough stamina that you’re not defenceless at the worst moment. Players who spam attacks lose to players who pace themselves, almost every time.
Matches run to five points. There’s a single-player mode against the CPU and a two-player mode where both fighters share one keyboard, and the two-player version is genuinely where this game earns its place. Sharing a keyboard for a wobbly ragdoll boxing match is a different experience to playing the AI.

How to play Drunken Boxing 2
Move forward and backward and throw quick punches at your opponent. Every punch drains your Energy Bar, and if it empties you need time to recover before you can attack again. The first fighter to reach five points wins the match. Play against the CPU or against a friend on the same keyboard.
Controls
- Arrow keys Move and punch (Player 1)
- W A S D Move and punch (Player 2)
Tips
- Pace your punches rather than spamming; an empty Energy Bar leaves you defenceless at the worst possible moment
- Watch your opponent's energy as well as your own and push hard the moment theirs runs out
- Use backward movement to buy recovery time instead of standing still to recharge
- The wobbly physics are part of the game, so expect missed punches and plan around them rather than fighting the controls
