Worm And Apple

Worm And Apple
Fullscreen

Worm And Apple takes the familiar shape of a snake game and turns it into something closer to a puzzle. Rather than an open arena you’re surviving in, each level is a designed terrain — walls, gaps, and obstacles laid out with a specific solution in mind — and your worm needs to navigate it precisely to reach every apple on the board.

The worm grows as it eats, same as the genre always works, but here that growth is a puzzle constraint rather than just a survival threat: a longer body is harder to maneuver through the same tight terrain that was manageable when you started. Planning your route before committing matters more than reacting quickly, since the terrain doesn’t change — poor planning means getting your own tail stuck somewhere the level’s layout won’t forgive.

Levels ramp up in difficulty steadily rather than through speed, which keeps the pace deliberate throughout — this is a game for players who like working out a path in their head before moving, not one that rewards fast reflexes.

How to play Worm And Apple

Move your worm through each level's terrain to eat all the apples, avoiding obstacles and walls along the way. As the worm eats, it grows longer, which makes navigating the same terrain progressively harder. Plan your route before committing, since a poorly planned path can trap your own tail.

Controls

  • Arrow keys / WASD Move the worm

Tips

  • Plan your full route before your first move — the terrain is fixed, so there's no benefit to figuring it out as you go
  • Eat apples in an order that keeps your tail away from tight corners, not just the nearest one first
  • Leave yourself an escape route rather than boxing your own tail into a dead end
  • If a level feels unsolvable, you likely ate an apple out of order — restart and plan the full path first
