Monster Haul

Monster Haul
Fullscreen

Monster Haul is a fast, pixel-art take on the survivors-like formula, dropping you into an arena against an escalating cast of enemy types, slimes, bats, ghosts, goblins, spiders, and bombers among them, each with slightly different movement and threat patterns. Your job is straightforward on paper: move, aim, blast, survive, but the variety in what’s coming at you keeps that simple loop from ever feeling repetitive.

Different enemy types demand different responses, a slow slime is a background threat you can ignore for a while, but a bomber closing in needs immediate attention before it detonates near you. Reading which enemy in a crowd is actually dangerous right now, rather than treating every threat the same, is what separates a long survival run from a quick death.

Its pixel-art presentation keeps things readable even when the screen fills up with enemies, which matters more than it sounds in this genre, since a chaotic-looking screen that’s still easy to parse is the difference between a fair difficulty spike and a frustrating one.

How to play Monster Haul

Move around the arena while aiming and firing at incoming monsters. Different enemy types behave differently, some are slow background threats, others like bombers need immediate attention. Survive as long as possible against escalating waves of slimes, bats, ghosts, goblins, and spiders.

Controls

  • WASD or arrow keys Move
  • Mouse Aim and fire

Tips

  • Prioritize bombers and fast-moving enemies over slow ones like slimes, which pose less immediate risk
  • Keep moving through open space rather than letting the arena's edges box you in
  • Use the pixel-art clarity to your advantage; even a crowded screen is readable if you watch enemy shapes, not just numbers
  • Don't stand still to line up a perfect shot when multiple enemy types are closing in from different directions
